• Technology regarding clutches has come a long way for Corvette.
  • Available for many horsepower levels.

Parts are one frustrating thing about building a resto mod Corvette. Figuring out what heater, radiator, or other underhood parts to use with your modified ride. Stop the trial, and mostly error and get the right parts you need all in one stop.

Monster power engines deserve clutch parts that are up to the job. That was true with the L88 Corvette and ZL1 Corvette of the '60s that were available with a dual disc clutch. But a dual disc clutch has had a downside, namely annoying rattles and lousy drivability, until now.

Some manufacturers have dual disc clutch parts for LS powered C5 Corvette and C6 Corvette that feature advanced design and materials, combining to give you a clutch like their Stage I that can handle up to 650 lb ft of torque. for mega monster powerplants, their Stage II is good up to 850 lb ft of torque, with drivability that's on a par with a single disc OEM clutch. The Corvette parts included in these clutches include a dual disc clutch, pressure plate, lightweight flywheel, and floater plate.

Want to add other parts like a turbocharger, but you're lacking room under your Corvette hood, some parts manufacturers have universal remote mount turbocharger kits for you to add a power adder, even if your Corvette engine bay is fully occupied. These Corvette parts kits are available in State I, Stage II, or Stage III kits, with horsepower and torque gains up to 60 percent possible. Each parts kit also contains remote mount turbo oil system, a professionally selected turbocharger, wastegate, flanges, plus the hardware and install instructions you need.

There are oil cooler adapter parts available which allows LS powered Corvette owners to use the ports already cast in their engine blocks to plumb their oil cooler with AN 10 hoses. This cuts backpressure in the oil system, which improves oil pressure and flow in the engine.

The billet aluminum adapter has clearly labeled "in" and "out" ports, and is designed to accommodate existing wiring harnesses, full length headers, and other nearby components
