The C5 Corvette Skip Shift Eliminator
The Chevrolet Corvette is a sports car first manufactured by Chevrolet in 1953 and is built today exclusively at a General Motors assembly plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky. It was the first all American sports car built by an American car manufacturer.
Corvettes tend to emphasize simplicity over technical complexity when it comes to engine power. Where nearly all competing marques rely on smaller displacement engines with complex, double overhead cams, DOHC, variable valve timing, VVT, four and five valve heads, or turbochargers, the Corvette instead relies on US muscle.
This fact leads the Corvette to be a prime target for aftermarket upgrades. There are a plethora of parts that have been made exclusively for the Corvette. One such part is the skip shift eliminator for the Corvette.
The skip shift eliminator disables the CAGS, computer aided gear selection, which is a built in system that automatically upshifts from first to fourth gears between 15 and 20 MPH. The ratios for maximum performance acceleration are 1,2,3,4,5,6, but the ratios for best fuel economy with CAGS engaged is 1,4,5,6. The CAGS 3CF-plug kit will disengage the CAGS feature as well as seal the skip shift solenoid and factory connector from contamination. The plug prevents dirt, grease or water from entering the open solenoid and causing a malfunction. Installation instructions are included in order to create an easy installation. Actual time is less than an hour. Emissions legal in all 50 states.

Warranties
All items are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship at the time of shipment to you. Your purchases will be backed by the limited warranty extended by the manufacturer of the parts. The manufacturer will not honor warranty requests due to shipping damage, improper handling or installation, neglect, accidents, or competition use. Warranty claims apply to parts only.
Returns
Should you need to return a part for refund, exchange, or credit, please contact our customer service department for a Return Authorization (RA) number. Most problems, such as installation, can be solved with a telephone call. Corvettetopia will not accept returned goods without prior authorization. The customer is responsible for freight on all return orders. Parts authorized to be returned, on a non-exchange basis, are subject to a 25% restocking fee.
Important Special Note
No Returns on Special Order, Custom, Electrical Parts, or after 30 Days. Parts must be in original packaging with all components and instructions included.
Cancellation of Orders
There is a cancellation charge of 20% for any order that is cancelled after the date of invoice or the date of any charge completed on a credit card. Special order custom parts cannot be cancelled once ordered.
Damage Claims
Always check the contents of your shipment in the presence of the person delivering the merchandise. Should any damage occur, immediately notify UPS so that the necessary steps can be taken to insure prompt replacement of any damaged goods. Notify Corvettetopia's Customer Service Department for instructions on returning damaged goods. Corvettetopia is not responsible for any claims arising from damage notification given after three (3) days of receipt of delivery.
Shortages
Always check the contents of your delivery to ensure that all the parts ordered are received. If you are missing any items please check to see if they have been back ordered on the invoice before calling the Customer Service Department. If a shortage has occurred, please contact our Customer Service Department within three (3) days of delivery to insure a prompt replacement. Corvettetopia assumes no liability after this point.
Foreign Orders
All foreign orders must be prepaid before shipment can be sent. Due to the constant fluctuation of currency rates and depending on the items being ordered, your freight fees will vary. It is important that you contact Corvettetopia for shipping quotes.
Alaska, Hawaii & Puerto Rico

Sales Tax
All orders outside Arizona are exempt from sales tax. Arizona residents are required to add the appropriate sales tax to all orders. Rates are subject to change without notice. The current rate is 8.25%.
